During printing with ABS filament, strong and unpleasant odors may be released, so it is recommended to place the printer in a well-ventilated area to ensure safety and comfort in the workspace. Proper ventilation helps prevent discomfort and ensures a cleaner, more professional printing process.

ABS filament is sensitive to moisture, so pre-drying before printing is recommended. Ideal conditions are 80 °C for 8 hours in a dryer or storage in a dry, sealed environment after use, keeping humidity below 20 % RH with desiccant. Drying the material before use ensures consistent print quality and reduces adhesion and bubble issues in printed parts.

For large or high-infill models, ABS may experience warping. To minimize this, use enclosed printers, apply adhesive correctly on the print bed, and reduce printing speed while increasing bed temperature. These adjustments improve first layer adhesion and ensure dimensionally accurate and stable parts.

Recommended printing parameters for optimal results include a nozzle temperature of 240-270 °C, heated bed between 80-100 °C with adhesive, printing speed under 300 mm/s, and controlled storage humidity. Following these recommendations ensures high-quality, durable, and professional finishes in every ABS 3D printing project.
