Revopoint RANGE 2 - 3D scanner

The RANGE 2 3D scanner is a portable, handheld 3D scanner from Revopoint that leverages dual-camera infrared structured light technology to capture precise and accurate scans of large objects such as furniture, people, and vehicles. It offers single-frame precision up to 0.1 mm and single-frame accuracy up to 0.3 mm, with a depth/RGB camera resolution of 2 megapixels for sharper 3D models and a lighting system comprising 4 flash LEDs for removing shadows and enhancing color scans.

The RANGE 2 scanner features a working distance of 400 to 1300 mm and a scanning speed of up to 16 frames per second. Its minimum scan volume is 50 x 50 x 50 mm, while its single capture area ranges from 220 x 425 mm at the nearest distance of 400 mm to 860 x 1380 mm at the furthest distance of 1300 mm. This flexible workflow is further supported by its compact design, measuring 240 x 43 x 46 mm and weighing just 253 grams, making it easy to carry and use anywhere.

The Range 2 3D scanner is equipped with a comprehensive set of accessories, including a tripod, phone holder, and power bank handle for versatile and mobile use. The scanner comes with various cables such as a USB Type-A to C cable, a USB Type-C adapter, and a 2-in-1 mobile cable for compatibility with a range of devices. A carrying case is provided for convenient transportation, while a magic mat aids in the scanning of featureless objects. Additional items include markers, a quick release plate, and a screwdriver to support different scanning setups and maintenance needs.

The scanner is equipped with a dual-core 1.8 GHz CPU and a stabilized smart scanning 9-axis IMU, which includes a gyroscope, accelerometer, and magnetometer to counteract unstable scanning surfaces and shaky hands, resulting in smoother frame stitching and fewer errors caused by movement. It connects via USB Type-C and WiFi 6, offering compatibility with a variety of operating systems, including Windows 10/11 (64-bit), Android, iOS, and macOS. It also exports models in PLY, OBJ, and STL file formats, suitable for use in most 3D modeling, laminating, and CAD software.

User-friendly tactile buttons enable easy control over functions such as starting, pausing, and adjusting exposure during scanning. For optimal results, the RANGE 2 can be used both indoors and outdoors (avoiding direct sunlight or rain) and works with scanning sprays for transparent, dark, or highly reflective objects. The included Revo Scan software supports both scanning and post-processing, making the RANGE 2 a versatile and efficient tool for capturing detailed 3D scans.
