

The LCD screen is an indispensable consumable in any LCD resin printer. An image of each printed layer is generated on the LCD while an array of LED chips project light through the LCD. The modular 9.3" 4K monochrome LCD for the XiP printer by Nexa 3D is an original hiqh quality replacement part.
It features a 52 micron pixel pitch and plugs directly into the XiP printer without the need to manually attach bus wires or seat the screen. Each XiP LCD screen serves for over 3000 hours of printing and requires 1-2 replacements per year based on printer usage. The LCD screen is protected from damage by a glass cover which should be replaced if it is cracked or scratched (risk of damagind the Everlast 2 Membrane).

The XiP LCD screen is a consumable that should be replaced after around 3000 hours of printing (once or twice per year, depending on printer usage). Changing the LCD screen in the XiP printer only takes 4 steps and requires a 3 mm hex key provided with the printer:
Before the LCD screen is removed, the printer should be turned off and unplugged. Then the printer door should be opened and the build plate lifted completely on the Z-axis. Next, the resin cartridge, build plate and resin vat should be removed. Now the process of changing the LCD screen can begin:

Once the LCD screen has been replaced, the user should make sure to run the build plate leveling procedure by going to the settings option on the XiP touchscreen and selecting maintenance: build plate leveling. This step is essential and skipping it will result in damage to the new LCD screen.
