The XiP resin vat for the XiP printer by Nexa 3D is a two-piece assembly made up of a rigid aluminum frame and a replaceable Everlast 2 membrane. These two elements lock together with a clamping mechanism and the assembled vat connects to the XiP printer via an electro-magnetic alignment system.

This revolutionary solution by Nexa 3D makes the XiP printer easy to work with by allowing for a quicker material change and membrane replacement, which also contributes to a faster and smoother workflow and productivity gains. Furthermore, designing the vat and the membrane as two separate elements contributes to dramatically lowering operating costs and waste. This is due to the fact that in case the membrane is damaged and needs replacing, this can be done without having to change the entire resin vat.

It should be noted that each resin vat comes with one Everlast 2 membrane included.

The XiP resin vat and the Everlast 2 Membrane are two elements that work together and must be correctly assembled. Nexa 3D provides a quick Youtube tutotrial on how to perform the resin vat assembly:

The membrane must be gently placed inside of the resin vat (gasket side down) and clipped into place. It is recommended to first clip the long sides (both simultaneously) and then the short sides. Clipping both sides at once will ensure even pressure and prevent leaks during printing.
