The Build Platform is the base where the 3D SLA printing is done. It is essential to use a build platform in good condition to achieve quality results and easy separation when removing the part from the platform.

The Stainless Steel Fabrication Platform looks different from the standard construction platform: it is made of stainless steel and has the CB logo laser engraved. This logo is included in the name of some resins, such as Temporary CB; which require the use of this build platform.

Some resins contain an abrasive filler that would damage the standard printing platform, causing contamination of the resin and possible dyeing or colour modification. By using the Stainless Steel Fabrication Platform we avoid abrasion and its negative effects.

The use of the Stainless Steel Fabrication Platform ensures the right shade and maintenance of the material's properties. This platform can be used when using any FormLabs resin, and is necessary for the use of resins such as Temporary CB.

The Stainless Steel Fabrication Platform is compatible with FormLabs 3D SLA Form 2 and Form 3B printers.

The availability of an additional Fabrication Platform speeds up the workflow by being able to change resin quickly and by being able to start a new print while removing the Fabrication Platform part from a previous print. In order to automate and speed up the wash and cure process it is recommended to use Form Wash and Form Cure.

Care should be taken when removing parts from the fabrication platform to avoid scratching the printing area. If scratched or damaged, the platform must be replaced to obtain the desired results.

It is recommended to have at least one additional Fabrication Pad to make resin changes quickly or to initiate new impressions without waiting to remove the part from the previous impression pad.

The stainless steel fabrication platform is required for the use of resins like Temporary CB resin.
