Pellets Mt 316L con un 87% de acero inoxidable.

Stainless Steel 316L is a chromium nickel molybdenum, austenitic stainless steel with low carbon content. It is antimagnetic in its annealed state and cannot be hardened by heat treatment, but nevertheless has good forming properties, gaining strength by deformation. This has the disadvantage of requiring higher stresses to deform it. Its good ductility, tensile strength, heat resistance and corrosion resistance even at high temperatures, make 316L stainless steel used in many industrial applications: aerospace industry as a standard material, sectors that need metals resistant to the effects of salts and acids (paper, textile or chemical) or pharmaceutical industry to avoid metal contamination.

With Mt 316L pellets, dense stainless steel parts can be obtained.

  • Mt 316L pellets can be used in the manufacture of filament for FDM 3D printers using Filastruder or any other filament extruder.
  • It is possible to use a pellet extruder for 3D printing directly.

With the combination of Mt 316L pellets and a good filament extruder such as Filastruder, it is possible to obtain 3D printing filament with qualities similar to those of a commercial ABS CF filament.

When using Mt 316L Pellets to make filament with a filament extruder such as Filastruder or using a pellet extruder for direct 3D printing, it should be noted that the extrusion temperature must be regulated in relation to the extrusion speed used. For optimal results, it is recommended to read the product's usage tips.
