Zortrax is a Polish company founded in 2013 and focused on the development of professional 3D printing systems. Its main strength is the excellent optimisation and integration between its 3D printers, materials and software. This greatly simplifies the entire printing process, minimising set-up times and reducing the likelihood of failure to a minimum, making them ideal systems for professional environments.

Zortrax offers a wide range of technical materials perfectly optimised for best results in conjunction with its LPD printers, including ABS, ASA, PCABS, Nylon, HIPS and others.

Z-NYLON is a high quality polyamide 12 filament, ideal for the production of prototypes and functional components. It stands out for its excellent mechanical properties, moderate elasticity as well as high temperature resistance.

One of its main advantages is that it can be post-processed with the same tools used for post-processing metals. It also has a high chemical resistance including acids and caustics.

It is an ideal material for the production of tools, mechanical components or functional prototypes. Due to its high shrinkage during cooling, it is not recommended for high volume production or components requiring high dimensional stability.

Parts printed with Z-NYLON suffer from high shrinkage during cooling and are therefore very prone to warping during printing. This is why it is highly recommended to always use the optional HEPA cover during printing.

It is also a very hygroscopic material, so it should always be stored in an airtight container when not in use. For long print runs we recommend Printdry Pro or similar.
