This Shore hardness 95A filament by 3NTR is a rigid TPU Elasto filament available in 5 color options.

The material this filament is made of is a linear elastomeric polymer from the family of polyurethanes - TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane). Its structure is built from alternating soft and hard segments, which is why TPU can be engineered to suit specific applications. It can be made to be rubber-soft or rigid like plastic, like the Elasto 95A. The key characteristics of TPU are its resistance to abrasion, chemicals, UV rays and low temperatures. This makes it a broadly utilized materials in applications where those properties are crucial, for example in the automotive industry, industrial manufacturing, footwear and fabrics production or wires and cables, where parts need to be flexible in harsh conditions every day all day long.

The TPU Elasto 95 filament was created by 3NTR, an Italian manufacturer of filaments and industrial 3D printers. The TPU Elasto 95 filament stands out thanks to its capability to absorb vibration. Prolonged vibration in industrial and manufacturing environments not only generates noise but it can also endanger the health of the employees, decrease product quality and intensify the wear and tear of the machinery. Vibration can also cause equipment to move, thus creating a safety risk. The 3NTR TPU Elasto 95 filament can be used to manufacture vibration dampening parts to improve workplace safety and limit quality risks in manufacturing.

The 3NTR TPU Elasto 95 is also scratch resistant. Scratches are a form of abrasion, a process in which a material is slowly worn down or rubbed away by means of friction. Abrasion leads to aesthetic degradation of an object and even to change of shape. This is very well illustrated on the example of standard nozzles being worn away by abrasive 3D printing materials. The 3NTR TPU Elasto 95 filament is resistant to abrasion, which means it can be used to manufacture parts that will withstand constant friction, scratching and rubbing without losing their shape and aesthetic properties.

There is no need for using external adhesion improving products with the Elasto 95 filament since the 3NTR 3D printers (which this material is designed for) incorporate a carbon fiber base additivized with glass fiber to provide a highly adherent printing surface.
