FDM 3D printer with self-levelling, easy assembly, and a print speed of up to 250 mm/s.

Anycubic is a well-known manufacturer of 3D printing equipment and one of the most popular brands in the market. Its 3D printing equipment stands out from the rest for its great value for money and ease of use, with some of the best known FDM technology equipment in this field. Continuing this line, the Anycubic Kobra 2 model comes along - an FFF/FDM printer with boosted printing speed, upgraded extrusion and cooling system, and numerous practical features ideal for both beginners and experienced users.

Anycubic Kobra 2 has a build volume of 250 x 220 x 220 mm - sufficient for domestic use, while providing a space that allows the production of parts with different degrees of complexity in their design. In terms of printing speed, Anycubic Kobra 2 can achieve a maximum of 250 mm/s, which makes it up to 5 times faster than most common FDM 3D printers. This means up to 70 % time savings with the same model.

Quality printing

The Anycubic Kobra 2 printer has a sleek design, with a smooth black aluminium alloy chassis and elegant engraved plastic parts. The new dynamic structure consists in double metal spindles, SG15 bearing, a stable double Z-axis, and a double-threaded rod structure.

The double-threaded rod structure helps improve stability

The modernized rod structure reduces the lifting resistance and flattens the build plaftorm, resulting in excellent printing quality and stability even at fast printing speeds. All the moving components of the Kobra 2 printer have improved resistance which implies less frequent maintenance and more efficient printing.

Kobra 2 has also been equipped with a new direct extruder for even more efficiency and precision. The upgraded extruder can reach a power of up to 60 watts, increasing the flowability of the filament. Material delivery is accurately controlled by the modernized dual-gear extrusion structure. Furthermore, the Kobra 2 cooling system has an optimized dissipation design that boosts rapid print shaping with a fan speed of up to up to 7000 rpm.

Perhaps the most outstanding feature of Kobra 2 is the upgraded Anycubic LeviQ system for automatic bed leveling. LeviQ that automatically compensates for irregularities in the hotbed. Thanks to the revolutionary ABL sensor, Anycubic Kobra 2 can reliably detect the bed from a distance of 5 millimetres using 25 different points.

The Kobra 2 printing surface

The printing surface is a magnetic PEI-coated spring steel plate. This printing surface was designed to be scratch- and wear-resistant, and offer easy part removal with just a delicate bend. The high quality of the printing surface makes the Kobra 2 printer more economic in terms of maintenance and more reliable for intensive 3D printing.

Anycubic Kobra 2 is compatible with a wide variety of filaments such as PLA, ABS, PETG or TPU. The addition of a direct disc drive and hotend combination, loading and unloading of flexible filaments such as TPU is much easier and faster. In addition, thanks to the direct extruder (with reduced material path), precise filament control and improved power are achieved.

Ease of use and safety

Anycubic Kobra 2 has been equipped with a 4.3" color touch screen. The screen is bright and easy to operate thanks to the high responsivity. This ensures a convenient 3D printing process suitable for any type of user.

Safety features of the Kobra 2 3D printer

As far as safety and material efficiency, Kobra 2 is equipped with a filament runout sensor as well as a function to resume printing in case of a power shortage. With these features, if the print cannot continue due to lack of filament or power, Kobra 2 will notify the user and resume the print without quality issues once the problem has been solved.
