T-Glase (Resistant Glass) is an innovative filament PETT of Taulman (an evolution of the PET) of high quality designed for impression 3D of easy and accessible form. It is an only filament and recently created with some special characteristics as they are the transparency and his high resistance. It presents a greater rigidity and lower flexibility that nylons filaments of Taulman.
T-Glase has surpassed all the official certifications and has been approved like valid filament for direct contact with foods. This includes the possibility of use in glasses, cups and other containers. Although it is not a bioplastic, T-Glase of Taulman is considered respectful with the environment since it is 100% recoverable. It does not produce smells neither steams when it prints with him.
But in addition to all these advantages of use join to the ease of printed. T-Glase experiences a low contraction by what is very easy to create impressions in 3D with big surfaces and adheres easily to platforms of acrylic, glass, Kapton, etc, by what the effect warping is practically invalid. It does not present problems of absorption of humidity, since the T-Glase locates the humidity in the surface of the piece so that it does not require to be subjected to processes of dried after the impression. Regarding his high rigidity, the T-Glase is more seemed to the ABS and PLA, in place of to the Taulman 618 and 645 that they are more flexible.
A big characteristic that offers the T-Glase is the no delamination when printing big pieces. It is designed for users that print with of PLA or printers 3D of temperatures lower.

Taulman T-Glase has a viscosity slightly greater that the one of other materials. When it gives height of the layer surpasses 50% of the diameter of the filter, the speed of impression has to adjust 15% to the drop. It can be necessary lengthen the distance of retraction because of this greater viscosity.
If when you are printing you appreciate bubbles in the thread, then are a clear indication that the temperature is greater of the necessary and will have to go down it. If it reduces the temperature of impression underneath of 238ºC will obtain less opacity of thread because of the recombination with the atmosphere, however this also will reduce the union in the upper layers to 25% of the diameter of the filter.
If what interests you obtain is a high transparency only have to increase the thickness of his layer to a minimum of 70%, but preferably 80% of his value of filter. This causes an increase significantly of the optical path allowing like this less internal reflections inside each thread. To convert the printed piece of a group of threads to a transparent glass is indispensable to apply the product of coating manufactured by “Smooth-On” called XTC-3D and that is available in the section of accessories.
