There are currently many solutions on the market to improve the adhesion of the printing base. Some of them consist of platforms made of special materials such as Buildtak bases and PEI bases. Other solutions are based on special adhesives, either in the form of spray, sticks or liquids. Although some of these solutions are really effective even with advanced materials such as nylon or polypropylene, they all have one thing in common: they are not designed to work with high temperature materials. That's why when it comes to printing with materials like PEEK or Ultem, which require bed temperatures above 150°C, the options are reduced.

Nano Polymer Adhesive is a new 3D printing adhesive specifically formulated to achieve the best adhesion with high temperature technical materials such as PEEK, Ultem or PPSU.

It is an adhesive manufactured with non-toxic organic compounds, capable of withstanding tensile stresses of up to 20000 PSI. Its main feature is the ability to withstand high temperatures without losing performance.

Nano Polymer Adhesive is suitable for both high temperature materials and other materials such as PC, nylon, ABS, PLA, PETG, HIPS or PVDF. What's more, with materials like PLA or PETG a single application can last over 50 prints.

This high-performance adhesive comes in a convenient 120 mL container with a brush applicator. Each bottle can cover an area of approximately 95000 cm2, which means about 300 applications on a 18x18 cm base. In addition, it is compatible not only with glass bases but also with PEI or carbon fiber.

Its application is really simple and comfortable, you just have to draw an X and a circle on the base and extend the product using the brush included. In addition, it can be easily cleaned using a cloth moistened in water or IPA.

Nano Polymer Adhesive not only achieves outstanding adhesion during printing, but also facilitates removal of the part once it is finished. In the case of low temperature materials such as PLA or PETG the part can be removed effortlessly once the base is cooled, high temperature materials and those suffering from warping should be removed as soon as possible.

Among its main advantages are:

  • Ultra low viscosity, which allows a more homogeneous distribution.
  • Easily cleaned with water.
  • Such strong adhesion that PEEK and ABS parts can bend a carbon fiber base up to 5mm.
  • Can be applied in multiple layers without cleaning the previous one, thus prolonging the duration.

Nano Polymer Adhesive has been tested on the following bases:

  • PEI
  • Glass
  • Steel
  • Aluminium
  • Buildtak
  • Geckotech
  • Carbon Fiber
  • Kapton Tape

It is also compatible with the following materials: PEEK, PEKK, EI 1010, PEI 9085, PSU, PPSU/F, PPS, PETG, PCTG, HIPS, PVA, ABS, PC, ESD PC, PC/ABS, ASA, PC/ASA, Nylon (6,12), Glass and carbon fiber blends of all the above. The only materials incompatible with Nano Polymer Adhesive are PP and POM.

Vision Miner has managed to develop one of the most efficient adhesives for high temperature materials on the market, essential for materials such as PEEK, PEKK or PPSU.

To apply correctly the product on the base, you must draw with the applicator a circle, then an X in the center and finally distribute the product with the help of the brush through several passes in orthogonal directions.

In the following video you can see the procedure:

With materials that present a high warping, as is the case of ABS, it is recommended not to use glass bases, as they can break due to the tension of the piece. The ideal is to use aluminum or fiberglass bases.

In the case that a glass base is used, the piece should be removed as soon as possible, without waiting for it to cool down.

This product is soluble in water and alcohol, so it can be easily cleaned using a cloth moistened in one of these liquids.
