Reflecon Tarnish 80

The Tarnish 80 3D scanning spray from Reflecon is permament spray designed to matte the scanned object and thus improve scanning results with challenging surfaces such as reflecting, mirroring, transparent, or dark areas. Optimized for use with laser 3D scanners, the Tarnish 80 spray is a solvent-free, water-based and low-odor substance, which makes it safe for indoor use.

Despite not containing titanium dioxide, the Tarnish 80 spray still provides excellent optical properties and layer precision. The Tarnish 80 scanning spray comes in liquid format, designed for use with spray guns. This makes it possible for the user to define the desired layer thickness and highly customize the scanning process depending on the scanned object characteristics. This spray applies wet, in a smooth and even white layer and once the scanning process is complete, the spray can be removed with just a cloth, a brush or water. Just like all Reflecon scanning sprays, the Tarnish 80 spray is ideal applications such as R&D, metrology, quality control, and reverse engineering. From amon the sprays offered by Reflecon, Tarnish 80 has the widest material compatibility:

• Ferrous materials like cast uncoated steel (compatibility needs to be verified by user).
• Non-coated non-ferrous materials such as cotton, glass, and ceramics.
• Numerous plastics such as PE, PP, PET, PA, hard and soft PVC, PS, ABS, PMMA, PC and PU/PUR.
• Various laquers and coatings: 2K coatings, alkyd, epoxy resin, acrylate, polyester, polyurethane.
