The XL/MK4 hotend heatsink with load cell from Prusa3D is the original heatsink for the extruder of the new generation Original Prusa printers (MK4, MK4S, MK3.9, MK3.9S, Prusa XL, and CoreOne). This component includes an integrated load cell that allows the printer to accurately measure the distance between the nozzle and the bed, enabling precise and automatic first-layer height calibration.

Main Advantages

Automatic calibration: The load cell accurately detects contact between the nozzle and the bed, allowing for automatic first-layer adjustment. This ensures perfect printing from the start, without the need for manual settings.
No manual adjustments: The classic "live Z adjustment" is no longer necessary. The printer verifies and adjusts the height on its own before each print.
Additional protection: The sensor prevents the nozzle from damaging the steel sheet in case of excessive pressure, extending the lifespan of the components.
Easy maintenance: Thanks to a design that allows for quick hotend disassembly, changing the nozzle or the heater block is faster and more convenient. The printer recalibrates itself after each change.
High precision: The load cell provides extremely accurate measurements, improving print consistency and reducing errors.
