In FDM 3D printers, an activated carbon filter effectively absorbs the VOCs emitted during printing with materials such as ABS, PC, PA, and others. With the help of the filter, these volatile compounds accumulated in the build chamber are filtered from the air before they are expelled outside, thus creating a healthier printing environment.

This Bambu Lab activated carbon filter is compatible with the X1/P1 series of 3D printers and it offers a working life of 1440 accumulated printing hours (about 60 days). Instructions on how to replace the carbon filter can be found on the Bambu Lab Wiki.
