Drywise Filament preheater

The Drywise preheater add-on was designed and developed by Drywise to be utilized together with the Drywise filament dryer. The purpose of the preheater is to enhance the printing experience with hygroscopic materials, accommodating both short and extended print durations.

The main components of the Drywise preheater are (1) the preheater, (2) the filament guiding tube, (3) the pogo pin electrical connectors, and (4) the thumbscrew opening. The Drywise filament preheater can be purchased in two options: for 1.75 mm diameter filaments or for 2.85 mm filaments (just like the Drywise filament dryer)and it comes with a detailed product manual, also available in the Downloads section.

When coupled with the Drywise filament dryer, this add-on significantly augments the overall efficiency, flexibility, and dependability of filament handling and processing, and expands the range of compatible materials provided by Drywise to hygroscopic materials. This is achieved through the pre-treatment of the filament before it enters the Drywise dryer and is further dried by the desiccant. The Drywise preheater is an indispensable accessory for ensuring the consistent and reliable drying of specific material types, such as those reinforced with carbon or glass fibers, as well as other designated materials.
