One of the steps to be taken when changing filament in FDM 3D printing is to regulate the pressure exerted by the gears on the filament.
It is important to regulate the pressure correctly, because if it is lower than necessary, the filament is not tractioned correctly and, if it is excessive, it could generate marks on the filament and overload the motor.
In order to make this adjustment in an easy and simple way, Bondtech extruders have a butterfly screw together with a spring to regulate the pressure on the filament.
