SuperVolcano E3D Original Heater Block

The SuperVolcano E3D Original SuperVolcano Heater Block is the key element that houses the connection of all the components of the SuperVolcano Hotend. This block is of high quality due to being made of a high performance metal, manufactured with precision machines to have the lowest possible tolerances and a smooth and shiny finish, which helps the maintenance and cleaning of the block itself.

The hole for the heater cartridge is strategically located to ensure even and constant heat transfer from the heater cartridge to the nozzle. This ensures that the filament flow through the nozzle is constant at all times, even at high speeds and with materials that require high printing temperatures. 

The SuperVolcano hotend block is designed to meet the needs of high-speed 3D printing. Compared to E3D V6 hotends, the SuperVolcano Hotend has up to 11 times the volumetric performance, resulting in significant time savings.

High temperature 

The SuperVolcano heater block is designed for maximum performance at high temperatures. This heater block is made of a high temperature resistant copper alloy with a softening point of over 500 °C and excellent thermal conductivity.

In addition to being resistant to high temperatures, the SuperVolcano heater block has an advanced nickel-based coating that significantly reduces adhesion of the plastic to the block. This is ideal for easy maintenance and cleaning of the heater block, which is particularly important when working at temperatures above 300 °C, where the use of a silicone protector is not possible.

Fibreglass sleeve

To complete the operation of the SuperVolcano E3D Original HotEnd and to increase its performance, E3D has designed a high-temperature fibreglass sleeve for the heater block. This sleeve insulates the heater block and keeps the heat in. 

This protector can withstand continuous operating temperatures of 260 °C with the possibility of higher temperatures, although it should be noted that this may reduce the service life of the part.
