The Titanium 64-23 Filamet™ pellets from The Virtual Foundry make it possible to produce real metal parts, functional prototypes, and low-volume production runs without traditional tooling using any open-architecture FFF/FDM 3D printer or even a 3D pen. With a titanium content ranging from 78% to 82% (Ti-6Al-4V ELI, Grade 23), these pellets combine the ease of printing PLA with the strength and durability of metal, making them ideal for industrial applications, advanced engineering, and precision metal part design.

Open 3D Printer Compatibility

The Titanium 64-23 Filamet™ pellets are compatible with virtually any open-architecture 3D printer, with no need for proprietary hardware or specialized equipment. They can also be used with 3D pens, providing flexibility for complex projects and the production of end-use metal parts without technical limitations.

Formats and Technical Properties

Available in 1.75mm and 2.85mm spools (0.25kg and 0.5kg) as well as 1kg pellet jars, they are suitable for both small-scale projects and larger production runs. With a density between 2.50g/cc and 2.85g/cc, they ensure solid, precise parts. Printing with 0.6mm hardened steel nozzles is recommended to minimize wear and maintain an experience similar to printing with PLA.

Easy and Reliable 3D Printing

These pellets provide smooth, consistent extrusion with minimal shrinkage. Their low hygroscopic behavior ensures consistent results without the need for drying, as drying the pellets may degrade the binder.

Real, Sinterable Metal Parts

After printing, parts can be sintered in a kiln to become 100% solid metal. Please note that no specific sintering trials have been conducted with these pellets, and debinding or sintering support is not provided. Users are encouraged to consult the community’s experience on the Discord server.
