PPS CF Industrial Raise3D
The Industrial PPS CF filament from Raise3D is an advanced material made of polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) reinforced with 10 % carbon fiber, designed for high-performance 3D printing. It stands out for its exceptional thermal resistance, reaching a HDT of 260 °C, and for its chemical stability against acids, alkalis, and organic solvents, ensuring durable parts in demanding environments. Its UL94 V0 certification guarantees superior flame-retardant properties, making it a reliable choice for industrial applications requiring safety and durability.
Parts printed with PPS CF exhibit metal-like strength and stiffness, with long-term dimensional stability and minimal moisture absorption. The optimized carbon fiber distribution allows compatibility with unheated build chambers and high printing speeds of up to 150 mm/s or higher depending on settings. This results in smooth surfaces, minimal warping, and reduced nozzle wear, ensuring precise and efficient outcomes for every project.
This filament is ideal for industrial applications, meeting the highest standards of precision, reliability, and cost efficiency. Its compatibility with industrial PET support filaments allows printing complex structures without compromising final part quality, optimizing productivity in professional environments.
The RFID version includes a smart tag that enables compatible printers to automatically identify the filament type and check optimal printing parameters. This improves consistency, safety, and ease of use during 3D printing. The RFID filament can also be used in printers without an RFID sensor, retaining all the benefits of Industrial PPS CF.
In summary, the Industrial PPS CF filament is the perfect choice for high-demand 3D printing projects, offering an unmatched combination of thermal resistance, chemical stability, mechanical stiffness, and dimensional accuracy. Its compatibility with industrial supports and the RFID version ensures an efficient, safe, and reliable printing process, making it an indispensable material for professional applications and high-performance industrial solutions.
The PPS CF filament requires a nozzle temperature of 300 °C and a print bed of 80 °C to achieve optimal layer adhesion and quality. The recommended layer height is between 0.2 and 0.25 mm, providing an ideal balance between detail and print speed. The printing speed can range from 50 to 200 mm/s, depending on part complexity and printer type. It is important to keep the layer fan on, helping layers solidify without compromising adhesion or surface finish.
Before printing, the filament should be dried at 80 °C for 12 to 24 hours, as low moisture content is crucial to ensure final part quality. After drying, it is recommended to store the filament in a drying box during printing, protecting the material from moisture absorption and ensuring consistent, reliable extrusion.
Since PPS CF is abrasive due to the carbon fiber, brass nozzles wear out quickly. For best results, it is recommended to use at least a hardened steel nozzle, with preference for a silicon carbide nozzle or a ruby nozzle, especially for long or high-speed prints, to maintain precision and prolong equipment life. For more information, see the details in the Attachments tab.
