Zortrax is a Polish company founded in 2013 and focused on the development of professional 3D printing systems. Its main strength is the excellent optimisation and integration between its 3D printers, materials and software. This greatly simplifies the entire printing process, minimising set-up times and reducing the likelihood of failure to a minimum, making them ideal systems for professional environments.
Zortrax offers a wide range of technical materials perfectly optimised for best results in conjunction with its LPD printers, including ABS, ASA, PCABS, Nylon, HIPS and others.
Within PLA-based filaments, Zortrax offers two options: Z-PLA and Z-PLA Pro, both available in both 800g and 2kg spools.
Z-PLA is a PLA filament developed for the highest print quality. Its high hardness, minimal shrinkage and excellent finish make it the ideal material for prototypes and mock-ups requiring the highest level of detail that can be obtained by FDM printing.
As a result, it excels in the production of educational and medical models, as well as in the production of detailed architectural models.
Z-PLA is also biodegradable, making it the most suitable material for the production of temporary and disposable parts and components, minimising environmental impact.
Z-PLA Pro is a filament developed with the main objective of improving the aesthetics of conventional PLA. One of the disadvantages of PLA in the production of display models is its partially glossy finish. The appearance of reflections in certain lighting conditions can impair the visualisation of the model or damage its aesthetic quality.
It is a PLA filament loaded with chalk and pigments that give it a uniform and smooth matte finish. Thanks to this, parts made with Z-PLA Pro obtain a smooth, glare-free surface finish, which improves their visualisation by making small details more visible.
Thanks to this and the fact that it is warp-free, it is the perfect material for the production of large architectural and civil engineering models.
Z-PLA Pro is available in colours specially selected for the architectural sector such as plaster white or cement grey.
