Fiberlogy ESD PETG Antistatic Filament

The PETG ESD filament from Fiberlogy has been specially developed to provide protection against electrostatic discharge (ESD), one of the main threats to electronic components. This material features antistatic properties and high energy dissipation, making it suitable for preventing damage or reducing the risk of failure in sensitive electronic devices.

Electrostatic discharges can cause irreparable damage to integrated circuits, sensors, connectors, and measuring devices, resulting in high maintenance and repair costs. In environments where conditions favor the occurrence of ESD, PETG ESD acts as an effective protective barrier, ensuring greater safety in the manufacturing of these components.

PETG ESD is the perfect choice for FDM technology-based creation of parts and housings for electronic devices, displays, connectors, and specialized tools. This material is widely used in the production of tools for working with electronic components and in the manufacturing of machinery and equipment used in production plants, thanks to its ability to prevent the harmful effects of electrostatic discharges. Moreover, PETG ESD filament is not only ideal for electronic components but also for industrial applications and in the manufacturing sector.

Fiberlogy’s PETG ESD stands out for its high mechanical strength, which allows it to withstand demanding conditions without losing its antistatic properties. This material is easy to print, as it does not require a heated chamber and has low moisture absorption, improving print quality and simplifying the manufacturing process. In addition, its durability and chemical resistance make it a reliable and cost-effective option for companies seeking to minimize the risk of electronic component failure.

In summary, PETG ESD is the ideal option for those looking to ensure the protection of their electronic devices against electrostatic discharges, guaranteeing both the safety and durability of the printed parts. With its ease of printing, outstanding antistatic properties, and mechanical strength, this filament is an essential tool for the manufacture of high-quality electronic components.

Due to the presence of nanoparticles, the filament's structure is not completely smooth. Thickness variations are natural but do not affect the correct filament diameter, which remains within the declared range. Because of the possibility of nanoparticle buildup, a 0.6 mm nozzle is recommended, and if the nozzle becomes clogged, the printing temperature should be increased. Due to strong bed adhesion, printing directly on the surface or on glass is not recommended, as this may cause damage. The use of adhesive tape is recommended for protection.
