PC - Bambulab
The PC Filament (Polycarbonate) from Bambu Lab is designed for technical applications that require heat resistance, high impact hardness, and dimensional stability. Its composition makes it suitable for structural parts, protective covers, mechanical elements exposed to continuous use, or functional prototypes that must maintain integrity under demanding conditions. Unlike more common materials, PC offers superior thermal and mechanical performance, making it a premium choice for advanced users.
To achieve good results when printing with this filament, it should be noted that it absorbs moisture easily, so drying it before use is essential. Drying at 80 °C for 8 hours is recommended, keeping ambient humidity below 20%. Using a printer with a closed chamber (enclosure) is also advised to prevent warping caused by ambient temperature fluctuations. The nozzle should be in good condition, preferably wear-resistant material, as PC can be demanding in this regard.
This filament is compatible with Bambu Lab AMS systems, which facilitates automatic loading and recognition of the material. It is delivered on high-temperature reusable spools, helping preserve the material and reduce waste. Available in transparent, white, black, and other variants, it allows for both aesthetic parts and functional components.
Possible applications of Bambu Lab PC include:
If the appropriate equipment is available (wear-resistant nozzle, powerful heated bed, and closed chamber) and the parameters are properly adjusted, the Bambu Lab PC Filament is a remarkable investment for those seeking strong, durable prints suitable for demanding use, without sacrificing aesthetics or precision.
