The TPU 85A from Bambu Lab is the softest filament in the range, designed for parts that require extreme flexibility and high impact absorption. Its highly elastic nature makes it the ideal choice for applications such as protectors, soft coatings, seals, covers, and components that need to deform easily without breaking.

For optimal printing results with this material, it is recommended to pre-dry the filament (70 °C for 8 hours), keep relative humidity below 20%, and use hardened steel or stainless steel nozzles with diameters of 0.6 mm or 0.8 mm. The nozzle temperature should be set between 200-250 °C, the heated bed between 30-35 °C, applying adhesive if necessary. Precise control of print speed helps avoid defects such as bubbles, uneven layers, or warping.

Thanks to its reduced hardness, TPU 85A is especially suitable for soft parts that require wear resistance, a comfortable touch, and high cushioning capacity. It is not compatible with AMS & AMS Lite systems, but works excellently on well-configured printers with direct extruders.

In summary, TPU 85A is the best choice for those seeking prints with high elasticity, soft touch, and maximum cushioning in technical and everyday use applications.
