The TPU 90A from Bambu Lab offers the perfect balance between flexibility and structural strength. It is a firmer material than 85A, ideal for printing parts that require elasticity but also the ability to withstand loads or maintain their shape, such as RC vehicle wheels, functional parts, sports elements, or shoe soles.

For printing, it is recommended to pre-dry the filament (70 °C for 8 hours), keep relative humidity below 20%, and use hardened steel or stainless steel nozzles. This material is compatible with 0.6 mm and 0.8 mm diameters, and also supports 0.4 mm on well-tuned printers. Nozzle temperature should be between 200-250 °C and heated bed between 30-35 °C. Like other TPUs, it requires moderate speeds and good flow control to ensure uniform layers and avoid bubbles or warping.

TPU 90A enables robust and durable prints in environments where wear resistance and controlled elasticity are required. In addition, on dual-extruder printers it can be combined with rigid materials such as PLA or PETG, creating hybrid parts with flexible and rigid zones in the same design.

In conclusion, Bambu Lab’s TPU 90A is the ideal filament for those looking for a flexible material with greater mechanical strength, perfect for functional, sports, and technical parts that must withstand intensive use.
