HARZ Labs Glaze
Resin 3D printing is increasingly used both at home and professionally, thanks to the great evolution that this printing technology has undergone in recent years.
One of the sectors where resin 3D printing is most present is dentistry. Thanks to the development of materials for specific applications within this sector, resin 3D printing brings immediacy to the manufacturing process. In addition, it allows products such as crowns, retainers or surgical guides to be customised and parts to be manufactured with great precision.
Dental components are often subjected to corrosive agents and scratch wear. It is therefore advisable to apply post-processing to extend the service life of these parts.
HARZ Labs Glaze is a specific coating for 3D printed crowns with dental resins such as Dental Sand designed to increase the surface hardness of the piece, simulating the function of dentine or dental enamel in the original dental pieces.
HARZ Labs Glaze is equipped with a brush for easy application of the coating on the surface of the 3D printed part. Once the product is well spread, it must be cured under the light of LED-UV sources. When dry, it leaves a glossy finish, providing a much more resistant surface compared to other conventional coatings. The coating generated by HARZ Labs Glaze does not cause tackiness and does not require any further post-processing.
This coating is specially designed for dental applications and is free of methyl methacrylate and other toxic substances that may affect health.
When applying the coating on the parts, it is necessary to degrease the surface of the parts with isopropyl or ethyl alcohol. Once the alcohol has evaporated, apply the resin layer with the brush included in the cap and let it stand for at least 60 seconds so that the layer thickness levels out and the solvent residues contained in the product volatilise.
For proper curing of the part, the part shall be cured with a 405 nm ultraviolet light for 10 minutes. At the end of the process, the surface should not be sticky.
Do not apply directly in the mouth. It is recommended to apply the coating to the dental pieces before inserting them into the patient's mouth.
Acrylic coating for 3D printed parts that provides higher gloss and surface resistance.
