3D printing resin for Harz Labs Dental Denture Base Soft prosthetics. The Denture Base Soft resin from Harz Labs, a laboratory offering various 3D printing solutions for the dental and medical sector, is specifically formulated for the creation of flexible bases for removable dentures, both partial and full. One of its main features is its low shrinkage during the printing process, ensuring a precise fit. This is crucial to ensure that the denture created fits perfectly with the patient's oral structures without any deformation that could affect its functionality or comfort.

Moreover, this denture resin stands out for its combination of high Shore D hardness and elasticity, providing a robust base, but with sufficient flexibility to offer greater comfort to the user. This elasticity allows the dentures to fit better to the gums without compromising strength. The bases printed with this resin can be easily polished, giving a smooth finish and an aesthetically pleasing look, and can also be customized using composite stains to achieve specific tones and details according to the patient's needs.

Another important aspect of the Denture Base Soft is its safety. Thanks to its mild odor and the absence of irritating monomers, this resin can be handled safely even in small spaces, with no risk to the health of the professional. This makes it an ideal option for dental technicians working in confined spaces or with limited ventilation, without compromising the quality of the work performed.

Differences Between Denture Base Resin and Denture Base Soft Resin

The difference between Denture Base Soft and Dental Denture Base resin lies in their bending strength and long-term durability. While both resins have low shrinkage, the Denture Base resin is characterized by its high Shore D hardness combined with bending strength, allowing it to withstand compressive forces and deformation without losing its shape, making it ideal for dentures that require more rigidity and resistance to deformation.

In terms of customization, both resins allow for a polished finish and the use of composite stains to personalize the aesthetics, but the Denture Base stands out for focusing on providing dentures that are more resistant to wear. This can be particularly beneficial for patients who need prosthetics with a longer lifespan and that will undergo intensive use.

Both are high-quality options, but they differ in their focus: the Denture Base Soft is more flexible and comfortable, ideal for bases that require a precise fit and elasticity that favors patient comfort, while the Denture Base focuses more on strength, durability, and wear resistance, making it suitable for dentures that need to withstand intensive and long-lasting use.

How to Print with Dental Resin and Avoid Shrinkage

Modern LCD and DLP printers allow for precise and fast printing, but to get good results, it is necessary to properly adjust the print settings, whether it's the exposure time or the light off delay. To facilitate the shrinkage compensation process in 3D printing with dental resin, Harz Labs has created its own printing test, which can be downloaded from this link.

How to Wash and Cure Harz Labs Dental Resin

Wash the product for 6 minutes. First, rinse the main resin layer in "dirty alcohol," then complete the wash stage in "clean alcohol." Use IPA (absolute) or ethyl alcohol (at least 96%). Optionally, a soft brush and an ultrasonic cleaner can be used.

The curing time and temperature will depend on the curing station used. Harz Labs provides users with a table of the corresponding values, which can be consulted at this link.

The Safety Data Sheet and the Technical Data Sheet for the product are available in the Attachments tab.
