Drive for sustainability

Redetec was born in the early 2010s out of the ambition to find a solution for minimizing the waste produced by the 3D printing ecosystem. Redetec decided to build a machine that could recycle plastic waste back into filament out of respect for the environment and to minimize the inevitable financial losses related to so much discarded material. The result of those efforts was the ProtoCycler+ desktop extruder, Redetec’s flagship product.

Reliable products

Redetec’s recycling and extrusion technology has proven reliable and effective in helping companies lower their ecological footprint, and providing the most comprehensive artificially intelligent solutions for making new plastics. Redetec’s ProtoCycler+ has been used to recycle waste recovered from the Great Pacific Garbage Patch as well as to turn 3D printed waste destined for landfills into new filament.

Ambitions for the future

Redetec is not stopping at desktop recycling and extrusion solutions. Their partnerships with industry experts and schools are aimed at expanding the plastic recycling and extrusion technology to the industrial scale in the future. This would help industries to adopt more sustainable and rentable plastic processing practices, thus helping reduce the global plastics and greenhouse gas emissions problem.
