BCN3D: Experience and innovation

BCN3D Technologies was created in 2012 as a division of the CIM center of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. In 2017, it launched the BCN3D Sigma R17 printer, with an independent double extruder system (IDEX), and at the end of that same year the BCN3D Sigmax R17 was released, with twice the printing area. Since then the brand's product range keeps evolving and expanding, with models such as the Epsilon series or the Omega l60 industrial 3D printer joining the BCN3D catalog. The brand's portfolio also includes a smart filament drying cabinet and a metal 3D printing kit developed together with BASF.

Compatible materials

With the BCN3D printers the use of 100% of the printing volume is guaranteed with PLA, PETG, TPU, PVA and special PLA filaments. Thanks to the temperatures reached by these 3D printers and the fully enclosed design, other materials such as ABS, Nylons, Copolyesters and many more can be printed. It should be kept in mind that having a housing is not synonymous with a temperature-controlled chamber, it is practically impossible to print large parts with advanced materials prone to deformation due to temperature changes during manufacturing.
