Parameters and best practices to maximize quality, precision, and reliability when printing with high-purity PLA+ with ±0.02 mm tolerance.

Recommended extrusion temperature

Range: 200–230 °C. Keeping the nozzle within this range ensures homogeneous PLA+ melting, optimizes layer adhesion, and reduces the chance of under-extrusion or bubbling. For fine details, start at the lower end of the range and gradually increase until achieving stable, string-free extrusion.

Heated bed temperature

Range: 45–60 °C. A moderately heated bed improves the first layer and minimizes warping on medium-sized parts. Adjust the temperature according to part size and geometry, prioritizing uniform first-layer adhesion.

Printing speed

Recommended range: 40–100 mm/s. For highly detailed parts, work near 40–60 mm/s; for functional prototypes and less demanding parts, speeds of 80–100 mm/s are possible without compromising mechanical integrity. Adjust speed in combination with temperature to maintain consistent extrusion.

First-layer surface and adhesion

Recommended surface: glass or carbon fiber plate with glue stick or 3M blue painter’s tape. These combinations provide a stable base and prevent lifting or shifting during printing. Clean the surface before printing and apply a thin layer of adhesive when necessary.

Cooling

Fan: 100% active cooling. Keeping the fan at maximum helps rapid cooling of each layer, achieves sharper edges, and improves overhang and bridge details. For very large parts or prints with weak initial adhesion, consider temporarily reducing speed on the first layer while keeping the fan on.

Additional tips for reliable prints

The uniform diameter and strict ±0.02 mm tolerance of the filament allow stable extrusion; therefore, check extruder calibration and flow before starting critical prints. Avoid sudden speed changes or excessive retractions that could cause clogs. For mechanical parts, allow adequate cooling time between layers and use moderate retractions to reduce stringing without compromising material supply.
