Although PEI sheets offer direct “plug-and-play” adhesion, over time areas of wear, grease marks, or dust contamination can reduce their effectiveness —especially with demanding materials like ABS, ASA, PC, or technical composites.

This liquid adhesive acts as a “smart booster”: it improves adhesion where it is most needed without compromising easy removal afterward. Ideal for:

The liquid adhesive for the print bed is used to enhance the first layer adhesion of filament on the PEI or similar surface of a 3D printer. Its primary function is to prevent warping, shifting, or partial detachment of the part during printing, especially with materials prone to shrinking or where initial layer contact is critical.

Pre-cleaning the bed: before applying the adhesive, clean the print surface with water and/or isopropyl alcohol to remove dust, grease, or residues that could interfere with adhesion.

Thin and even application: spread a thin, uniform layer of adhesive over the area where printing will take place. Excess product usually does not improve adhesion and can make part removal after cooling more difficult.

Appropriate bed temperature: apply at room temperature or slightly heated depending on the material. On heated beds, apply just before starting the print so that the film remains active during the initial layer.

Material-specific use: the adhesive improves adhesion for common filaments such as PLA, ABS, or PETG on PEI surfaces; for particularly challenging materials, a second light application or additional techniques like brims or rafts may be required.

Part removal: after printing and allowing the bed to cool, most parts will detach relatively easily if there is no excess adhesive. Avoid forcing removal to prevent damaging the PEI surface.

Cleaning residues: remove any adhesive residue from the bed and printed parts with warm water or a damp cloth before the next print to maintain a clean and consistent surface.

Reapplication as needed: for frequent printing, reapply the adhesive after several prints to maintain optimal adhesion performance without leaving product buildup.

Prevent contamination: do not touch the adhesive surface with fingers after application to avoid oils or contaminants that reduce effective adhesion.
