Its ergonomic, wireless design makes it suitable for everyday use as well as for challenging environments, providing an ideal solution for both seasoned professionals and beginners seeking a high-performance, easy-to-use 3D scanner.

Dual scanning technology

At the core of the EinStar Vega's technology are its dual scanning systems: VCSEL and MEMS. Thanks to the combination of these two powerful visual data capturing technologies, the EinStar Vega scanner is an incredibly powerful tool that can be used for both large-volume scanning tasks in fast-paced environments such as engineering or automotive, as well as for high-detail scanning in applications such as archaeology, quality control, etc.

The VCSEL (Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser) technology optimizes the scanner for long-range capture, making it suitable for medium to large objects. Capable of fast scanning at up to 20 frames per second and operating at a working distance of 350 to 1500 mm, this mode is designed for rapid, efficient scanning in large areas. With an infrared camera resolution of 1.3 MP and a point distance ranging from 0.5 to 10 mm, it captures detailed images while maintaining speed, which is particularly advantageous for fast-paced environments.

For smaller, highly detailed objects, the EinStar Vega employs MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) technology, providing stable, short-range scanning. This HD mode operates at a working distance of 100 to 250 mm, capturing fine details with a 2 MP infrared camera and point distance of 0.05 to 3 mm. With a scanning speed of up to 15 fps, the MEMS technology is ideal for applications requiring precision, such as artifact preservation or component analysis, where capturing intricate surface textures and small features is essential.

A high-resolution 48 MP RGB texture camera further enhances the EinStar Vega’s capabilities, offering exceptional color fidelity and detail capture for textured models. This feature supports multiple alignment modes, including feature-based, texture-based, and marker-based, enabling versatile scanning configurations for different project requirements.

The camera’s outdoor scanning capabilities ensure that even in bright, direct sunlight, the scanner maintains accuracy, making it adaptable to a range of real-world scanning conditions. Furthermore, the scanning of dark objects is no challenge to the EinStar Vega scanner.

Powerful and easy to use

Built for performance, the EinStar Vega features powerful hardware specifications, including a 6.4-inch 2K AMOLED display, an 8-core CPU at 2.4 GHz, and substantial storage with 32 GB RAM, 32 GB eMMC, and a 512 GB SSD. Compatibility with Wi-Fi 6 and USB Type-C enhances connectivity, while support for multiple output formats (PLY, STL, OBJ, ASC) allows for broad compatibility across CAD, 3D modeling and laminating platforms on both Windows and Mac OS. With free 5 GB cloud storage for each user, the EinStar Vega streamlines data storage, collaboration, and management, providing a robust solution for professional 3D scanning.

The scanner’s wireless design enables seamless operation without the need for a PC connection, making it fully mobile. Wireless data transfer to SHINING 3D Cloud allows for easy data sharing, while wireless projection provides the convenience of real-time visualization on a second screen. Designed with user-friendly features, the EinStar Vega includes one-click start, one-click editing, and automatic configuration selection to simplify scanning tasks. The scanner's fast-charging 5000 mAh battery supports continuous operation during charging, ensuring minimal downtime in prolonged scanning sessions.

All-in-one solution

The EinStar Vega 3D scanner is designed for portability and convenience, with a compact size of 180 x 95 x 26.5 mm and a lightweight frame of approximately 500-600 grams. Available in two color options—Silver Blue, featuring a durable aluminum alloy enclosure, and Titanium Gray, with a sturdy magnesium alloy finish—the scanner combines functionality with a sleek, professional aesthetic.
