LOCTITE is part of the Henkel group, a company that produces and develops domestic and industrial chemical elements. LOCTITE is dedicated exclusively to the manufacture and discovery of adhesives for all types of materials. Following its development pattern, it has perfected the HY 4070, an ideal glue for use in 3D printing.

The LOCTITE HY 4070 is a two-component (cyanoacrylate/methacrylate) glue that is cured in a few minutes (3-6 min). It offers a high power of union with printed pieces of all kinds, FDM, SLA, DLP, even pieces made with technologies with a porous finish (SLS and MJF). Thanks to its special nozzles included, the mixture of the two components is made homogeneously and the application is very simple. This glue has a translucent gel like appearance, it can be sanded and painted. This set of properties makes it ideal for joining pieces and filling holes or damages with a space up to 5 mm.

With this glue you can make larger pieces without the need for a larger 3D printer. To join pieces safely and without breaks during the use of the set, LOCTITE recommends different geometries depending on the type of resistance that must be supported. The following table shows the recommended connections:

The advantages of the LOCTITE HY 4070 is the high binding power, the versatility to be applied in any piece made in a 3D printer and its drying time (3-6 minutes), which allows to calmly adjust the union of the pieces.
