PC-ABS Rail pellets are a material composed of polycarbonate (PC) and ABS. They are certified UL V0 and NF EN 45545-2 (Rail Vehicle Fire Protection) for the railway sector, with a temperature resistance of up to 115°C, strong resistance to flammability, and give off almost no fumes, let alone toxic fumes.
On the one hand, Polycarbonate (PC) offers high impact resistance and rigidity. On the other hand, ABS makes it easier to process than PC (Polycarbonate). Finally, the union of the two materials improves heat resistance, making it one of the most temperature-resistant materials on the market.
With the combination of PC-ABS Rail Pellets and a good filament extruder such as Filastruder, it is possible to obtain 3D printing filament with qualities similar to those of commercial PC-ABS filament.
When using PC-ABS Rail Pellets to make filament with a filament extruder such as Filastruder or using a pellet extruder for direct 3D printing, it should be noted that the extrusion temperature must be regulated in relation to the extrusion speed used.
PC-ABS Rail pellets can be used to create safe components for enclosed spaces. For example: hooks, storage shelves, hinges, electrical enclosures, etc. Its greatest advantage is its high fire resistance.

Nylon is a highly hygroscopic material and should be stored properly to prevent it from becoming damp. It should be stored in vacuum sealed packaging or in a drying cabinet. If PC-ABS Rail is exposed to high levels of humidity for prolonged periods, it should be dried for 4 hours at 60°C.
