Hardcore 3D Solex (Ultimaker 3, S3 and S5)

3D Solex Hardcores are valid cores for Ultimaker 3, S3 and S5 3D printers. 3D Solex products are currently manufactured and distributed through the manufacturer Bondtech. Under this merger, we develop and manufacture improved accessories for 3D FDM printers, such as nozzles and HotEnds. In general, their products include for their resistance to wear and for offering the possibility of increasing the printing speed.

3DSolex Hardcores eliminate one of the main problems that all Ultimaker 3, S3 and S5 users have, without being able to exchange nozzles; since Ultimaker does not have that part as a replacement.

When using a Hardcore 3DSolex it's no longer necessary to completely change the Hardcore, as it happens with the Ultimaker cores. Once the Hardcore 3DSolex is attached, the nozzle can be replaced automatically using 3DSolex's own Hardcore nozzles. 3DSolex has a wide range of nozzles for your Hardcores in different materials and outlet diameters, such as the Hardcore Everlast nozzle or the Hardcore ICE nozzle.

All 3D Solex Hardcores in the same electronics, diffuser, block, temperature sensor and heater cartridge. The electronics are fully compatible with the Ultimaker 3, S3 and S5 printers, without the need for adaptations and improvements to obtain a higher printing temperature. The diffuser has been optimized to improve heat evacuation, something essential when using materials with high melting temperatures. The block has superior operating properties than the original Ultimaker and is also covered in a silver layer that supports the surface. Lastly, the thermistor cartridge and the heater cartridge fit snugly against the block, increasing the contact surface and in turn, optimizing extrusion temperature control.

The specific properties of each Hardcore 3D Solex are explained below:

     Hardcore AA

     Hardcore PVA BB

Hardcore AA

This core is developed to replace Ultimaker's original Core AA with ease. The installation of this element increases the possibility of manufacturing smaller pieces or with greater speed, thanks to the different types of nozzles that the user can use.

This Hardcore includes 7 Hardcore ICE nozzles (0.25x2, 0.40x2, 0.6 and 0.80mm). These nozzles have a special coating that prevents the material from adhering to the walls, both external and internal, allowing the user to remove the filament cold.

Hardcore PVA BB

The Hardcore PVA BB is optimized by 3D Solex to replace Ultimaker's original Core BB. In addition to the general advantages of the 3D Solex Hardcores, this is equipped with a 0.40 mm Hardcore ICE nozzle, a nozzle with a special coating to prevent material from sticking to the walls, both external and internal, allowing the user to remove the cold filament. To complete this kit, the manufacturer includes a 0.60mm Nozzle Hardcore.

3D Solex Hardcores carry a 24 month warranty. This warranty does not include wear and tear caused by use.

To further enhance the ease of exchanging nozzles in the Ultimaker 3, S3 and S5, 3D Solex includes a set of tools with each Hardcore. This set consists of two special keys, one to hold the block and the other to loosen and tighten the nozzle.

After all the aforementioned, it's clear that the 3D Solex Hardcores for Ultimaker 3, S3 and S5 are the key components to optimize the production power of these FDM 3D printers.
