Sinterit pyrometer protection glass
The pyrometer is an optical sensor that measures the temperature in the powder bed of Sinterit printers. This sensor is protected by an optical window which must be kept in good condition as a change in the transmittance of the glass due to dirt or scratches will cause erroneous temperature readings and therefore print quality defects or even failures.
The pyrometer window should always be cleaned before and after each print and replaced when it shows the first signs of wear such as water, discolouration or scratches, or every 1000 h of use.
The Sinterit thermal paste must also be used for replacement.
