Creality Falcon 2 laser engraver

Falcon 2 is based on the FAC spot compression technology where 4 powerful compressed laser diodes (6 W each) make up the power of 22 W. The engraving speed of Falcon 2 (25 000 mm/min) is twice as fast as the one of Falcon, its 10 W predecessor.

These impressive parameters allow Falcon 2 to cut in one pass 0.05 mm stainless steel sheets, 15 mm wood planks or 10 mm black acrylic sheets, all that with a smooth and uncharred surface. Furthermore, Falcon 2 is capable of engraving in color.

The sturdy aluminium structure of the engraver ensures exceptional stability even at high engraving speeds. Stability is also guaranteed by the engraver's integrated sliding rail and durable wear-resistant wheels, as well as adjustable anti-slip silicone foot pads. What's more, the bottom of the engraver is equipped with 3 adjustment holes that make sure Falcon 2 will suit different table sizes (374 mm, 454 mm and 534 mm). The height of Falcon 2 can also be adjusted with the help of multi-segment risers (useful for working with tall objects).

Apart from its stunning engraving power and speed, the Falcon 2 laser engraver stands out thanks to its smart and efficient design and numerous safety features. One of them is the integrated air assist function. Thanks to this solution, the smoke generated during the engraving process is removed from the working area, thus protecting the laser lens and resulting in a clear result. Air assist can be adjusted manually through the knob or set to work automatically via the LightBurn software.

Triple monitoring system

The Falcon 2 laser engraver was equipped with a triple monitoring system to ensure utmost user safety. Airflow monitoring not only indicates the current airflow volume but also enables the user to adjust the airflow depending on the engraving needs. The inbuilt lens monitoring system tracks the lens' cleanliness and triggers an alarm when the lens should be cleaned. This prolongs the longevity of the lens.

The third component of the monitoring system is flame monitoring. This feature activates an alarm accompanied by a red flashing light, and stops the machine when a flame is detected. It must be noted that the alarm function is disabled by default and must be enabled in the settings.

Five safety protections

Apart from the triple monitoring system, Creality has put in place 5 additional safety measures to make using the Falcon 2 engraver as safe as possible and prevent accidents.

1. Bidirectional limit switch - the engraver will stop automatically and the alarm will be sounded when the laser head hits the set boundary.
2. Active stop - in case the machine is tilted, flipped or dropped by accident, this function will immediately disable the engraver (the alarm will sound to).
3. Security lock - for professional use only.
4. Emergency stop button - the engraving process can be stopped immediately in case of an emergency.
5. Laser protective cover - this feature will effectively prevent the laser from causing eye injuries. The cover is made of high-efficiency colored filtered glass.

With these safety and monitoring measures the users of the Falcon 2 laser engraver can rest assured that the engraving process always takes place in a safe environment.

Software and connectivity

The Falcon 2 laser engraver is compatible with a wide range of systems, including Windows and macOS. As far as engraving software, Falcon 2 can work with the LaserGRBL as well as the LightBurn software. It is also possible to create offline anytime and anywhere, just with the help of a TF card insertable on the side of the Falcon 2 engraver.

What's more, the Falcon 2 laser engraver can be positioned and adjusted precisely without being connected to a computer. This can be done with the help of a group of buttons on the front of the device.
