The Dental Model Light Grey resin by Harz Labs is a high-precision material designed for printing full and partial dental models, as well as models with removable dies. It offers excellent accuracy with shrinkage of less than 0.5%, ensuring that 3D printed models remain true to the original design. The matte surface finish enhances the visibility of fine details, allowing for precise restorations. The resin's durability, hardness, and long-term stability make it ideal for producing reliable, high-quality dental models that maintain their shape over time. The material is formulated to prevent sedimentation, flocculation, and foam formation, ensuring consistent performance throughout the printing process.
An additional key feature of the Dental Model Light Grey Resin is its resistance to high temperatures, making it suitable for use in the thermoforming process of clear aligners. This makes it a valuable material for orthodontic applications where heat resistance is essential. However, it is important to note that encasing models printed with this resin in plaster is not recommended, as it may compromise the integrity of the material.
Manufactured using biocompatible raw materials commonly found in photopolymer dental fillings, the resin adheres to ISO 10993 standards for biocompatibility. However, achieving biocompatibility in the final product depends on proper printing and thorough post-processing procedures, necessitating evaluation for each application.
The Dental Model Light Grey resin is versatile and user-friendly, suitable even for small laboratory setups due to its low odor and absence of hazardous monomers. Its compatibility with a wide range of LCD/DLP 3D printers, including the Anycubic Photon Mono M3 Max and the Elegoo resin 3D printers from the Mars 4 and Saturn 3/4 series, makes it a practical solution for orthodontic professionals seeking reliable and efficient solutions for printing full and partial dental models as well as models with removable dies.

The recommended printing settings for various resin 3D printers can be consulted on the HARZ Labs support page. To see the settings for specific resins simply choose your 3D printer model and find the resin you want to use.
Once a print is finished, it has to be removed from the manufacturing platform with a special spatula for post-processing. It is crucial not to damage the surface of the platform during this operation.
Then, the part should be immersed in IPA alcohol or other recommended solvent to remove the non-solidified resin. After that time, pressurized air should be applied to the part until it is completely dry.
To achieve the maximum properties that HARZ Labs resins can provide, it is necessary to post-cure the part in a curing chamber for the recommended time and at the recommended temperature. This process helps eliminate internal stresses.
Since the washing and post-curing parameters will largely depend on the equipment used, Harz Labs has preparad a post-processing table where the recommended parameters for each resin are given.
3D printing with resin requires certain personal protection measures to ensure the workflow is safe for all involved. It is recommended to use gloves and safety glasses, as well as use some kind of air filtering system if the printer is not equipped with one.
Avoid leaving resin in the vat for extended periods. Store the printer and resin bottle in a location away from direct sunlight, luminous or LED lights, and heat sources such as heaters to prevent curing.
