The KeyTray precision dental resin from the KeyPrint line by KeyStone Industries is a light curing resin for the 3d printing of customized impression trays. It is indicated for intraoral use, biocompatible (class I) and BPA, MMA and phthalate free. More detailed safety data for this resin can be found in the Safety Datasheet in the Downloads Section.
KeyTray is strong and durable, intended to make dental trays capable of withstanding the forces of taking a patient impression and removing the tray from the oral cavity. The KeyTray resin is compatible with all types of impression material, making compound waxes and border molding materials adhere to the tray with no problem at all.
Like all KeyPrint resins, the KeyTray resin can be 3D printed on many resin 3D printers validated by KeyStone Industries. An example of a compatible 3D printer would be the Phrozen Sonic XL 4K 2022 3D printer. Some other compatible brands for this particular resin are Flashforge, Stratasys or Shining3D.
The KeyTray resin makes the fitting and impression making process much shorter and easier for both the patient and the orthodontic professional. This is due to the fact that KeyTray eliminates the need for preliminary casting or for making stone models, which also contributes to improved impression accuracy.

There are certain steps that need to be taken before use. The resin should be tempered to ambient temperature (20-25°C) prior to printing. The bottle should be shaken 1 hour prior to use in order to achieve consistency of the resin and to prevent bubbles. If bubbles are still present, they should be removed with a clean spatula. The KeyPrint resin should only be used in accordance with the product-specific predetermined settings for the user’s DLP 3D printer with a 385-405 nm UV light source. Any other equipment requires validation by the manufacturer.
The post processing of parts 3D printed with the KeyTray dental resin entails 3 easy steps.
More information about the KeyTray resin can be found in the Downloads section. The KeyPrint KeyTray resin should be stored in a cool, dry place and away from light. Precautions should be taken at all times to ensure user safety. It is recommended to use protective gloves and garments, and a face screen to prevent burns caused by hot resin.
