3DSimo, renowned for the development and manufacture of high-quality 3D pens and the 3DSimo MultiPro 4-in-1 multi-purpose tool, has created a specific filament set for its products.

The 3DSimo filament set is a must-have product for users of 3DSimo 3D pens such as the one included in the 3DSimo MultiPro 4 in 1 or 3DSimo Kit. The product contains a selection of ABS and PLA filaments (the most commonly used by 3D pen users) and includes 25 packs of 5m each of different filaments, making a total of 125m of filament.

PLA

PLA (polylactic acid) is a biodegradable plastic obtained from natural resources such as corn starch.

PLA is one of the most widely used materials for 3D pens due to its properties, its glossy finish and the fact that it can be extruded at low temperatures (190 - 220 ºC).

PLA is very useful for the manufacture of decorative objects. However, PLA is not a suitable material for extruding shapes in air as it takes longer to cool and solidify. It is also not recommended for applications that require post-processing such as sanding, as PLA is not machinable.

ABS

ABS is a plastic made of acrylonitrile, butadiene and styrene. It is called an engineering plastic because it is a material with superior mechanical and thermal properties compared to conventional plastics.

Thanks to its properties, it is an ideal material for the creation of solid and durable articles. In contrast to PLA, ABS is a perfect material for extruding lines and shapes in the air. ABS is a machinable material, so it can be easily sanded and post-processed.

With a 3D pen such as 3DSimo MultiPro 4 in 1 and ABS, it is possible to create decorative figures, support parts for devices such as headphones or telephones, etc. In addition, due to its high mechanical properties, it is possible to manufacture plastic parts for repairing everyday objects such as TV remote controls or toys, among others.

The 3DSimo filament set includes the following filaments: PLA transparent, ABS white, PLA translucent glossy, PLA Marble, PLA leather, PLA gold, PLA gold, ABS yellow, ABS gold, PLA orange, PLA red translucent, PLA pink glossy, ABS thermoactive red - white, ABS red, PLA brown, PLA metal, PLA purple, PLA green, PLA green, ABS green, PLA green translucent, PLA blue glossy, ABS blue, ABS dark blue, PLA black, ABS black, PLA silver.

To extrude precise lines with the filaments included in this set and a 3DSimo pen, it is recommended to use the 3DSimo silicone templates, which have different grooves on their surface to create perfect straight or curved lines.

Thanks to the variety of colours and materials included in this set, the user can easily create colourful objects with different effects and applications with a 3D pen.

General information

Manufacturer 3Dsimo
Material PLA / ABS
Filament diameter 1.75 mm

Other

HS Code 8477.9

Each colour / material comes on a 5m roll. This format is compatible with the 3DSimo MultiPro 4 in 1 and 3DSimo Kit 3D pens, but is not compatible with those 3D pens that require the use of filaments in rod format such as 3Doodler.

The use of a non-compatible filament with a 3D pen can lead to nozzle clogs that can even render the device unusable. It is recommended to check compatibility before use.
