DISCONTINUED PRODUCT

The Wax Cast resin by Moiin is a high quality open material designed and manufactured in Germany for the 3D printing of residue-free burn-out moulds for highly detailed jewellery, both for one-off items as well as short runs and production in series. Thanks to its high wax content, the Wax Cast resin can be processed similarly to wax during casting and can be used with phosphate-bonded and gypsum-bonded investment materials.

One of the benefits of the Wax Cast resin is that it produces parts with very fine detail and an extremely smooth surface. Achieving such quality using conventional jewelry-making methods would take much more time. In the casting guide facilitated by Moiin (downloads section) the user can find practical advice on how to use MOIIN Wax Cast to its full potential, from design and 3D printing to casting and burning out.

Just like all Moiin resins, the Wax Cast resin uses the trademark Moiin CDB technology to guarantee exceptional precision of the parts 3D printed with the Wax Cast resin, even when the part features inner structures, holes and cavities. The CDB technology (Cure Depth Barrier) minimizes the overcuring in the Z axis (no influence over printing speed) with the help of a chemical component included in the resin. That chemical component is optimized in each Moiin resin to ensure optimal performance in terms of the specific properties.
