"Traffic Red" ABS  filament with very high quality manufactured in Europe by Fillamentum.

"Traffic Red" Premium ABS filament (1.75mm or 2.85m) is a filament of very high quality made in Europe for 3D printing with "Traffic Red" ABS Extrafill trade name of Fillamentum.

Spools of 750gr of "Traffic Red" Premium ABS filament support multiple types of 3D FFF / FDM printers. Premium ABS filament is a plastic whose main mechanical characteristics are its strength, toughness and opacity.

ABS filament is a PREMIUM filament due to the high quality standards in which it is manufactured. It is manufactured by a European company (Czech Republic) that stands for the great experience in the field of extrusion of plastics for automotive, chemical and packaging, highlighting the strong commitment to research and development of new products. This is the case of the filaments Premium Fillamentum 3D printing.

"Traffic Red" ABS Premium filament (1.75mm or 2,85mm) is manufactured by strict control throughout the entire manufacturing process. This ABS Premium filament ensures high accuracy of diameter dimensions such as one tolerance ± 0.05mm, with excellent roundness and without any chemical impurities that produce poor viscosity of the filament. This is further achieved by carrying out strict control throughout the manufacturing process using a raw material with high purity. In addition they offered a variety of colors according to RAL and Pantone reference of Premium ABS filament. By setting high standards of quality it ensures that at no time be color variations so you never have quality problems in the printed pieces in long series on your 3D printer.

In addition, the 750gr spools of "Traffic Red" ABS Premium filament are manufactured by Fillamentum are perfectly rolled which prevents printing problems caused by overlap winding or filament itself together of the same coil occur.

In addition to all the points mentioned above, this filament ABS is considered in the market for 3D printing as a Premium because of its amazing packaging with a resealable bag pouch that protects it from moisture and UV rays and turn it inside a box.

Therefore, it is a Premium ABS filament high quality fully stabilized for excellent finishes with the highest reliability and ease of 3D printing.

Optimum temperature for extruder RedABS Premium (1,75mm or 2.85mm) is around 230ºC, slightly higher than the PLA. In the tab usage tips, you will find more interesting information for best results using this Black ABS Premium filament on your 3D printer. ABS is a polymer composed of three blocks, acrylonitrile, butadiene and styrene by what is called terpolymer. Each of the three blocks provides different characteristics. The acrylonitrile rigidity strength etch, hardness and stability to high temperatures. The butadiene temperature toughness when it is particularly low and impact resistance; and styrene, strength, stiffness, gloss, hardness. If you are interested in learning more about this material you can read more in the following link.

"Traffic Red" ABS Premium filament can be machined, polishing, sanding, drilling, painting and pasting with extreme ease, keeping a really good finish. Furthermore, it is extremely durable and has a little flexibility. If you wish to obtain special surface finishes using the coating specifically designed for 3D printing you'll find in the accessory category called XTC-3D.It is advised for proper 3D printing coated bed printer with Kapton TapeBuildTakDimaFixMagigoo than you can find in the store fixtures.

3D printing with ABS filament  is a bit more complex than the PLA filament. For ABS Basic filament is necessary that the print base is hot, between 80 and 100 °C. In addition, the extruder temperature should be between 220 and 240 ºC depending on the color used. It should also be remembered that the ABS plastic suffer the phenomenon called "warping" which causes the first layer of the pieces off the base of the 3D printer.

So if you are printing large pieces it is advisable to use BuildTak, Kapton Tape, Magigoo or DimaFix so that the pieces do not tend to detach from the base. It is also advisable to set the "raft" which is to create a first thick layer, and supports that will not suffer that contraction and on which is printed the piece. The disadvantage of using the "raft" is that this first layer will have a less smooth. It is advisable to lower the density of "infill" parameter for the part to store less heat. As for the "brim" (the membrane that is created around the part) parameter is recommended never fit in greater thicknesses of 5mm to help the first layer does not come off.

If you need to print very thin and tall pieces, you'll notice that the plastic ABS does not give you enough time to harden each layer printing and therefore the piece is as if it had melted. To solve this problem we give a very simple advice, printed at the same time at least 2 pieces, and place them in separate base. This way while the extruder is moved from one piece to another in each print layer, the plastic will have time to harden obtaining a much better result.

As for the room temperature where printed is recommended to be controlled and no drafts. Finally remember to use your 3D printer in a well ventilated room as vapors released during printing with ABS filament are not entirely healthy.
