Smart Materials: Variety and experience
Smart Materials is a Spanish company founded in 2014 by specialists in polymers with more than 20 years of experience. It has a wide range of fundamental materials today in 3D printing, both at a private and industrial level. Within the conventional materials have PLA and ABS of great quality and variety of colors. In case of special and more technical applications, Smart Materials has materials widely used in the industry, such as PP (polypropylene). All its range of filaments is manufactured with a great control of the diameter and the irregularity of the geometry.
NylonStrong: Innovative and very resistant
The NylonStrong from Smart Materials is one of the first nylons alloyed with fiber to increase its mechanical properties and increase the ease of printing. Based on PA6 and alloyed with fiberglass, it offers one of the highest tensile strengths of the filaments on the market. The PA6 provides good damping and impact resistance properties, as well as a good tenacity at low temperatures. This, added to the mechanical reinforcement added by fiberglass, makes the NylonStrong an ideal material for industrial applications.
Development and constant sustainability
To increase the productivity of users of a 3D printer, Smart Materials has coils with a higher than normal weight, with 3.3 kg coils or even up to 8 kg.
In addition, Smart Materials is committed to sustainability, using its own management system and integrated to its needs, this allows them to reduce the environmental impact and energy consumption, highlighting its method of packaging the reels, using an ergonomic cardboard bag and recyclable plastic.
