    The Markforged Metal X 3D printer allows you to switch from design to fully functional metal parts in less than 24 hours. It is, therefore, an end-to-end manufacturing solution.

    The innovative 3D metal fabrication technology ADAM (Atomic Diffusion Additive Manufacturing) is a new way of manufacturing metal parts, joining two processes well known and used in the industry, such as 3D printing and mechanical injection molding (MIM) .

    With this technology of additive manufacturing in metal, the possibility of making internal fillings with greater or lesser density arises, in order to reduce weight and cost of the piece.

    Printing process

    1. Design
    Once the piece is designed, the file should be loaded in STL format and a wide range of materials should be selected. The advanced software Eiger is responsible for doing the rest to print quickly and easily.

    2. Print
    The metallic powder bonded to a plastic binder is printed layer by layer in the shape of the piece. At the end of the printing, the "green piece" is obtained, which is oversized with respect to the STL, foreseeing the final sintering process.

    3. Washed
    The printed pieces go through this washing step to eliminate part of the binder. The last step will be the sintering in an oven to obtain the piece in solid metal.

    4. Sintered
    In this process, the final pieces of pure metal and with a density of 99.7% (can vary depending on the sintering furnace used) are ready for use. They can be treated and processed like any other metal piece.

    Installation and equipment

    With a fully enclosed print chamber, ultra-quiet motion system and environmentally controlled material storage, the Markforged Metal X 3D printer can be installed in a friendly way in any industrial or semi-industrial environment.

    As equipment to major of the 3D Metal X printer you need Wash-1 washing equipment and sinter equipment Sinter-1 (Medium Volume) or Sinter-2 (Large volume).
