How it all began
It all began in 2015 when the concept for WonderCutter was born and soon a team was assembled to work on the design. A year later the first prototype was ready, winning awards at international fairs. Successful global campaigns on Kickstarter, Indiegogo and Makuake in the years 2017-2018 allowed Cutra to obtain patents, mass produce for testing and finally launch the WonderCutter ultrasonic cutter in 2019. A few years later the CtrlAX ultrasonic cutter was released, an even more powerful device that allows to work with more materials.

Cutra's star product is WonderCutter, an easy-to-use portable and rechargeable ultrasonic cutter that allows the user to work with many materials such as plastic, cardboard, fabric, felt, leather, MDF, carton, PCB, acrylic, plywood and rubber. This wide range of compatible materials, speed, precision, portability and ergonomic design of WonderCutter make it an indispensable addition to any workshop, as well as a valuable addition to the 3D printing workflow.
CtrlAX ultrasonic cutter
The CtrlAX ultrasonic cutter by Cutra operates at 40000 vibrations per second. Its elegant and compact design hides robust cutting ability inspired by advanced industries, handling ABS, PLA, carbon fiber, acrylic, leather, and PCB due to specialized blades. Offering eco, comfort, and sport power modes for different materials, it ensures efficiency from paperboard to hard resin. Its continuous mode enables prolonged use with simple button activation, boasting a user-friendly, quiet, and ergonomic design adaptable to diverse industries, from DIY to manufacturing, 3D printing, and dental applications.
