Next-generation textile ink: OEKO-TEX® certified DTG printing and DTF transfer

The integrated textile ink system features OEKO-TEX® certification, an internationally recognized guarantee of safety and quality in the textile printing industry. It supports two printing methods: DTG (Direct to Garment) printing, applied directly to soft cotton garments for professionally finished designs, and DTF (Direct to Film) transfer, where the design is printed onto film and then transferred to virtually any type of fabric, footwear or cap. The resulting prints withstand more than 50 washes without fading or cracking, making this system an excellent choice for businesses looking for durable textile printing for custom apparel production.

SmartCycle™ 2.0 maintenance system: automatic printhead care

Printhead maintenance is managed automatically through the SmartCycle™ 2.0 system, designed to extend the machine's service life and prevent clogging. During periods of inactivity, the ink dampers automatically switch to moisturizing fluid, ensuring clog-free operation for at least 14 days, while an industrial-grade positive-pressure purging system effectively removes fast-drying textile inks. White ink, which is prone to sedimentation, remains in constant circulation thanks to an automatic agitation system, preventing one of the most common issues associated with DTG printing with white ink. In addition, the software provides full control over printhead cleaning, with a standard cleaning option for daily maintenance and deep cleaning for more complex clogs.

The roll feeder and laminator make it possible to create continuous large-format designs and adhesive vinyl graphics up to 11.8 m long, delivering visually striking results and efficient production.

Material preparation

Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from dust, grease or residues before printing. Depending on the material, a primer or pre-treatment may be required to improve ink adhesion.

Printing method selection

UV printing is suitable for rigid materials such as wood, acrylic, metal, glass or ceramics. UV DTF printing allows transfers to be created for customizing curved or geometrically complex surfaces. For textile garments, DTG or DTF processes can be used depending on the fabric and the required finish.

Printing tests

Before starting production, it is recommended to perform a test on a sample of the same material. This check makes it possible to adjust the parameters and verify adhesion, color reproduction, definition and finish.

DTG printing

For DTG, the composition and color of the garment determine the pre-treatment and printing parameters. Cotton garments or those with a high cotton content offer good compatibility with this process. Pre-treatment and subsequent heat curing are important factors for achieving good print durability.

DTF printing

The DTF process requires correct printing of the design onto the film, uniform application of the adhesive powder, curing and subsequent transfer using heat and pressure. Consistency at each stage helps maintain uniform quality.

UV DTF printing

UV DTF printing uses specific films to create transfers. Uniform lamination and a properly prepared surface promote adhesion and the final finish. This method is particularly practical for objects with shapes that make direct UV printing difficult.

Customizing cylindrical objects

For compatible cups, bottles, mugs and other cylindrical objects, using a rotary attachment makes it possible to adapt the printing process to the geometry of the piece. Correct object placement is essential to maintain an appropriate printing distance.

Object positioning

Objects must be placed securely with the printing surface correctly oriented. The height and position of the object should be checked before starting the job to prevent movement or quality issues.

Printhead maintenance

Regular maintenance of the printheads and ink system helps maintain consistent print quality. White ink requires special attention, as its particles may settle if the system remains inactive for extended periods.

Consumable storage

Inks, films, adhesive powders and pre-treatment products must be stored according to the conditions specified by the manufacturer. Proper storage helps maintain their properties and prevent changes during printing.

Ventilation and safety

The work area must be properly ventilated and comply with the safety recommendations established for the use of UV inks, pre-treatment products and other consumables. Surfaces printed with UV ink must be handled according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Production control

For repetitive jobs, keeping the material, consumables and previously validated printing parameters consistent helps achieve more uniform results and facilitates production quality control.
