Among the most relevant are the Eddy Current sensor for base calibration and the filament sensor, responsible for monitoring material feed.

Both systems play a fundamental role in process stability, especially in large format printers where manufacturing times are prolonged and errors can result in significant material and time losses.

Base leveling sensor

The leveling system based on Eddy Currents represents one of the most advanced technologies implemented in these printers. Unlike traditional mechanical or inductive sensors, this system uses a high-frequency electromagnetic field to measure the distance between the nozzle and the printing surface without physical contact.

Thanks to this operating principle, the sensor is capable of achieving a precision of up to 0.001 mm, which represents a significant improvement over conventional methods. This high resolution allows for extremely precise leveling maps, which are essential on large platforms.

Another advantage of this system is its ability to continuously scan the surface, completing the calibration process in approximately 60 seconds. This considerably reduces the printer setup time and improves efficiency in production environments.
