The carbon fiber PEEK filament TECAFIL PEEK VX CF30 from Ensinger stands out as one of the most advanced materials for industrial 3D printing within the ultra-high-performance thermoplastics segment. Designed for technical applications where mechanical strength, thermal stability, and dimensional accuracy are critical, this PEEK CF30 filament for professional 3D printers contains 30% carbon fiber, delivering an exceptional combination of structural stiffness, low weight, and superior thermal properties.

The renowned expertise of manufacturer Ensinger, a global leader in high-performance engineering materials, enables the development of this carbon fiber-reinforced PEEK filament with one of the highest reinforcement percentages available on the market. The result is a technical material optimized for additive manufacturing, especially suited for producing functional parts, advanced prototypes, and high-performance industrial components.

PEEK CF30 for 3D Printing: Maximum Mechanical Strength and Dimensional Stability

The TECAFIL PEEK VX CF30 filament is notable for its extraordinary structural stiffness and mechanical strength, far surpassing unreinforced PEEK. Carbon fiber incorporation enhances dimensional stability of printed parts, allowing the production of components capable of withstanding high mechanical loads and extreme thermal conditions.

Unlike other glass fiber-reinforced PEEK filaments, PEEK CF30 has a lower density, making it ideal for lightweight, high-performance applications. This optimized balance of weight and stiffness is key in industrial sectors where reducing mass without compromising structural strength is a competitive advantage.

Carbon fibers also provide higher thermal conductivity and reduced thermal expansion, significantly improving the dimensional stability of 3D-printed parts even in environments with wide temperature variations.

Carbon Fiber PEEK Filament to Replace Metal in Additive Manufacturing

Within the universe of technical 3D printing materials, PEEK CF30 filament has established itself as a highly efficient solution for metal component replacement. Thanks to its excellent combination of stiffness, weight, chemical resistance, and thermal stability, it allows manufacturing industrial parts with high mechanical performance and reduced structural mass.

This PEEK filament for industrial 3D printers is especially effective in advanced functional prototyping, where faithfully reproducing the mechanical behavior of final components before mass production is essential. It is also widely used for end-use parts, technical replacements, and structural components in professional additive manufacturing processes.

Another notable advantage of carbon fiber-reinforced PEEK is its improved 3D printing behavior. Carbon fibers reduce warping or thermal deformation, facilitating the production of complex parts with higher accuracy and dimensional stability.

Technical Material Used in High-Demand Industrial Sectors

The PEEK CF30 filament for professional 3D printing is used in some of the most demanding industrial sectors worldwide. Its combination of thermal resistance, chemical stability, and advanced mechanical properties makes it ideal for additive manufacturing in critical environments.

In the aerospace industry, carbon fiber PEEK produces lightweight components capable of withstanding extreme operating conditions. In the automotive sector, it is used for technical parts subjected to high temperatures and mechanical stress. It is also widely applied in mechanical engineering, oil and gas, chemical technology, and industrial electronics, where materials must ensure reliability, durability, and technical precision.

Its outstanding chemical resistance, hydrolysis resistance, and ability to withstand superheated steam further expand its applications in complex industrial processes.

High-Performance PEEK Filament Based on Victrex®

Before printing, it is essential to dry the filament at 120 °C for 8 hours and store it in airtight containers to avoid moisture. Printing should be done with nozzle between 420 and 460 °C (starting at 440 °C), bed at 200–220 °C, chamber between 180 and 200 °C, speed of 25 mm/s, nozzle of 0.4–0.6 mm and fan off; the first layer should be printed slower and the Z offset properly adjusted to improve adhesion. Maintaining stable temperatures throughout the process prevents warping, delamination, or cracking, and using a brim or raft on large parts improves bed adhesion. This setup ensures good surface quality, mechanical strength, and consistent material flow.
