The PPprint P-Roller 621 is an applicator roller designed to facilitate the installation of print surfaces and adhesive sheets on the bed of FDM 3D printers. Developed by PPprint, this accessory allows applying uniform pressure during the mounting of the print surface, reducing the formation of air bubbles and improving adhesion between the different layers of the system.

The roller has been specifically developed to work with the PPprint P-surface 141 print surface and the P-adhesive 220 double-sided adhesive sheet, components used in PPprint's polypropylene (PP) printing system. Thanks to its completely smooth surface and ergonomic design, it allows pressure to be distributed evenly across the entire surface, promoting a quick, deformation-free installation.

Correct installation of the print surface is essential to avoid air pockets, wrinkles, or areas with insufficient adhesion that could later affect print quality. Using the P-Roller 621 helps properly secure both the adhesive sheet and the print surface, ensuring uniform contact with the printer bed and extending the lifespan of the assembly.

Its compact design allows it to be held comfortably with one hand, facilitating the application of constant pressure even over large surfaces. The roller's surface has no relief or texture, preventing marks on the sheet during installation and allowing smooth gliding over the material.

Although conceived as part of the PPprint ecosystem, this roller can also be used to install other self-adhesive print surfaces, magnetic sheets, technical vinyl, or adhesive films used in 3D printers, whenever it is necessary to apply uniform pressure without damaging the material.

The PPprint P-Roller 621 is a simple yet very useful accessory for any user who installs or replaces print surfaces. Thanks to its ergonomic design and the even distribution of pressure, it facilitates a clean installation, reduces the occurrence of bubbles, and helps achieve a perfectly adhered surface ready to print.

Before using the PPprint P-Roller 621, carefully clean the print bed surface to remove dust, grease, or adhesive residue that could interfere with proper adhesion.
Apply the adhesive sheet or print surface gradually, avoiding removing the entire protective backing at once. This makes positioning more accurate and helps reduce the formation of air bubbles.
Use the roller while applying even pressure from the center toward the edges of the surface. This helps expel trapped air and ensures uniform adhesion across the entire print bed.
Make several overlapping passes with the roller, first in one direction and then perpendicular to it, to ensure the entire surface is firmly adhered.
Do not apply excessive force during installation. The goal is to distribute the pressure evenly, preventing deformation of the print surface or displacement of the adhesive sheet.
If small air bubbles appear during installation, use the roller to gently push them toward the nearest edge before continuing.
The P-Roller 621 is especially suitable for installing the PPprint P-surface 141 and P-adhesive 220, although it can also be used with other self-adhesive print surfaces, magnetic sheets, or vinyl films used with 3D printers.
After installation, visually inspect the entire surface to ensure there are no wrinkles, lifted areas, or air bubbles that could affect first-layer quality.
Keep the roller surface clean and free of adhesive residue or dirt. A clean roller ensures even pressure distribution and prevents accidental marks on the installed surface.
