The Bambu Lab Induction Hotend Rack Assembly is the official assembly that integrates all the mechanical and transmission components required for the rack (vertical storage and positioning face) of the induction hotend system in Bambu Lab printers based on the H2C platform. This assembly forms the core of the Vortek system, responsible for moving, positioning, and housing the hotends automatically during tool swaps or advanced printing processes.

This assembly allows induction hotends to be stored and retrieved automatically during print cycles without manual intervention. When the firmware requires a specific hotend, the rack motor activates the assembly and adjusts the hotend’s position until it is ready for the printing process. The transmission belt works in conjunction with the motor to convert rotational movement into precise elevation or lowering of the rack.

The Vortek system, of which the rack assembly is a part, provides a rapid tool-change solution without extensive material purging or manual movements, reducing downtime and improving productivity in multi-material or multi-nozzle environments.
