Timing belts are essential components of the motion system in ELEGOO Neptune 4 series 3D printers, including Neptune 4, Neptune 4 Pro, Neptune 4 Plus, and Neptune 4 Max. These belts synchronize the X and Y axes with the stepper motors, allowing precise movements of the print head and platform to achieve parts with high dimensional accuracy and consistent surface finish.

Neptune 4 series models typically use GT2 belts with a 6 mm width (for X and Y in most variants) and, in some cases, 10 mm width for larger Max versions. These belts are designed to work with 2 mm pitch pulleys, providing smooth motion transmission without noticeable slippage when properly tensioned.

Maintaining the belts in good condition and with correct tension is crucial to avoid printing defects such as layer shifting, inconsistent lines, or inaccurate prints. The Neptune 4 series includes belt tensioners to facilitate proper adjustment and ensure the belts maintain optimal engagement with the pulleys during prolonged use.
